Kitchen Type Applique

Kitchen Type Applique is a linear LED luminaire designed to mount beneath cabinets and shelves. Counter lighting carries a problem of its own: light from the ceiling is cut by the shadow of whoever stands in front of it. A luminaire set under the cabinet removes that shadow and delivers light straight onto the working surface, which is a functional difference in kitchens and anywhere counter-top work is done.

The product is manufactured in five codes. PL9U11L15CP opens the range at 8 W and 580 lm in 335 mm; PL9U12L15CP gives 14 W and 1,160 lm at 616 mm, PL9U13L15CP 21 W and 1,740 lm at 897 mm, PL9U14L15CP 26 W and 2,320 lm at 1178 mm, and PL9U15L15CP 33 W and 2,900 lm at 1459 mm. Body width is 93 mm and height 63 mm; weight ranges from 0.7 kg to 3.3 kg. Efficacy sits in a band of roughly 73 to 88 lm/W.

Lengths stepping close to standard kitchen cabinet dimensions make it straightforward to fit the luminaire to the cabinet run. The body is aluminium in an elegant design, offered in white, silver and black. LED modules from LUMILEDS, OSRAM and NICHIA are rated at 60,000 hours; the converter is a long-life, ENEC-compliant constant current type.
