Cove Lighting

Cove Lighting is an LED profile luminaire designed for indirect lighting where the source stays out of sight. It sets into a cornice, a suspended ceiling recess, behind a shelf or along the edge of furniture; what the eye sees is not the luminaire but the light striking the surface. That produces a soft brightness with no apparent source and emphasises the transition between ceiling and wall.

The product is offered under code PL20U2415, dimensioned by the metre: 15 W and a luminaire output flux of 1,475 lm per metre. Profile width is 17.4 mm and height 17.8 mm, a section sized to fit standard cornice and recess voids. A one-metre length weighs 1.9 kg. Working by the metre allows the calculation to run directly off the length of the run: the length of the line to be lit, in metres, gives the total power and flux required. Efficacy is roughly 98 lm/W.

Unlike the other products in the range it works on a 24V constant voltage system. Constant voltage allows modules to be cut to the required length on long runs and simplifies the planning of supply points. LED modules are SEOUL brand, rated at 60,000 hours. The body is an aluminium extrusion profile with a matte natural anodised coating; mounting accessories and plastic end caps are supplied with the product.
