Galaksi Dolunay Recessed

Galaksi Dolunay Recessed is the flush-mounted variant of the disc-form Dolunay body. Because it integrates with the ceiling plane it costs the room no volume and needs no suspension components. With the solid emitting circle held within the ceiling, the family's visual language carries into areas where clear height must be preserved or where a pendant would not be appropriate.

The product is manufactured in twelve codes across four diameters: 490, 620, 920 and 1220 mm, each offered in three steps. PL8AD49K12C opens the range at 23 W and 2,815 lm in 490 mm; PL8AD122K14C closes it at 243 W and 27,945 lm in 1220 mm. Intermediate values include 36 to 57 W and 4,420 to 6,300 lm at 620 mm, and 78 to 119 W with 9,865 to 14,000 lm at 920 mm. Body height is 85 mm across every type; weight ranges from 5.0 kg to 9.1 kg. Diameters run 10 to 20 mm larger than the pendant model, since the edge allowance required for flush mounting carries through to the outer dimension.

Because power and flux match the pendant and surface-mounted models, all three mounting types can be resolved on one lighting calculation within a project. Long LED life carries extra weight in recessed luminaires, since low maintenance frequency in a comparatively hard-to-reach fitting is a direct operational advantage. The aluminium body is offered in white and black; the converter is a long-life, low-power, ENEC-compliant constant current type. LED modules from LUMILEDS, OSRAM and NICHIA are rated at 60,000 hours.
