Galaksi Hexagon

Galaksi Hexagon is an LED pendant that draws a closed hexagon. The six-sided geometry combines something close to the softness of a circle with the definition of a polygon: the form has no direction yet still reads through its corners. Hung in groups, hexagons complete one another in a honeycomb arrangement, which makes it possible to build a repeating texture across broad ceiling surfaces.

The product is manufactured in a single code. PL8SA73E15C draws 73 W and delivers a luminaire output flux of 8,050 lm; the outer dimension is 800 mm, width 693 mm, body height 97 mm and weight 7.8 kg. Efficacy is roughly 110 lm/W. Unlike the other products in the range there is no length or drive-level option; offering it in one size only points to a product designed for repeating layouts.

The aluminium body is offered in white and black; the converter is a long-life, low-power, ENEC-compliant constant current type. LED modules from LUMILEDS, OSRAM and NICHIA are rated at 60,000 hours. The suspension uses 1 mm braided steel cable and nickel-plated brass parts with adjustable drop, supplied with a transparent power cable and a ceiling-mounted junction box of considered design. Suitable for shopping malls, markets, offices, meeting rooms, living rooms, waiting lounges, stores, hospitals, schools, corridors, showrooms, exhibition and fair halls, hotel lobbies, restaurants and cafés and libraries.
