Optimum Recessed

Optimum Recessed is the flush-mounted variant of the Optimum profile. Because it integrates with the ceiling plane it costs the room no volume, and it can be planned on the same grid as air diffusers, sprinklers and detectors. In offices and educational buildings where a clean ceiling matters, that is often the deciding factor.

The product is manufactured in twenty-four codes. Lengths are 672, 892, 1112, 1331, 1551, 1771, 1991 and 2211 mm, each offered in three output steps, C02C, C03C and C04C. PL18A9C02C opens the range at 15 W and 1,265 lm; PL18A30C04C is the largest type at 86 W and 6,760 lm. Body width is 57 mm and height 63 mm; weight ranges from 0.9 kg to 2.4 kg. The shallow section required for flush mounting keeps the product under half the weight of the pendant and surface-mounted models.

At a given power the flux figures sit somewhat below the pendant model, which follows naturally from the light emerging from within the ceiling plane. Long LED life carries extra weight in recessed luminaires, since low maintenance frequency in a comparatively hard-to-reach fitting is a direct operational advantage. The aluminium body is offered in white and black; the converter is a long-life, ENEC-compliant constant current type. LED modules from LUMILEDS, OSRAM and NICHIA are rated at 60,000 hours. Suitable for shopping malls, markets, offices, meeting rooms, living rooms, waiting lounges, stores, hospitals, schools, corridors, open-plan offices, universities, clinics, libraries and public buildings. Dimmable DALI driver and emergency kit are optional; UGR<19 glare control and CRI 90 colour rendering can also be supplied on request.
