Recessed Back Light Gypsum Ceiling

Recessed Back Light Gypsum Ceiling is an LED panel installed flush into a plasterboard ceiling. It differs from the T-Bar model in that it sits within an opening cut into the plaster surface rather than dropping into a grid, which produces a continuous, frameless ceiling.

The back-lit arrangement sends light from behind the panel to give an even brightness across the face. Individual LEDs are not visible and the panel reads as a single lit surface, which is decisive on projects where the ceiling is meant to stay quiet.

The product is manufactured in eleven codes across sizes of 275x275, 275x575, 275x1175, 575x575 and 575x1175 mm. These run slightly smaller than the T-Bar model, since a luminaire set into plaster carries no grid-profile allowance. The smallest type, PL11AY11E06C, gives 14 W and 1,260 lm; the largest, PL11AY24E06C, reaches 112 W and 9,520 lm. Body height is 65 mm across every type; weight ranges from 1.5 kg to 6.0 kg.

The body is electrostatically powder-coated sheet metal; the converter is a long-life, low-power type compliant with ENEC standards. LED modules from LUMILEDS, OSRAM and NICHIA are rated at 60,000 hours. The product page carries a separate LDT file for each type.
