Galaksi O Recessed

Galaksi O Recessed builds the ring form through flush mounting rather than suspension. Because it integrates with the ceiling plane it costs the room no volume and needs no suspension components. With the ring line held within the ceiling, it carries the visual language of the range into areas where clear height must be preserved or where a pendant would compromise circulation safety.

The product is manufactured in seven types. PL8AO8L15C opens the range at 53 W and 5,170 lm in 820 mm; PL8AO24L15C closes it at 158 W and 16,420 lm in 2275 mm. Intermediate sizes are 1000, 1175, 1355, 1520 and 1910 mm. The ceiling cut-out is 13 mm smaller than the outer dimension on every type: 807 mm on the 820 mm unit, for example. Body height is 84 mm and weight ranges from 6.5 kg to 14.1 kg. Unlike the pendant models a single LED density is offered.

Applications include shopping malls, markets, offices, meeting rooms, living rooms, waiting lounges, stores, hospitals, schools and corridors. The aluminium body is offered in white and black; the converter is a long-life, low-power, ENEC-compliant constant current type. LED modules from LUMILEDS, OSRAM and NICHIA are rated at 60,000 hours. Long LED life carries extra weight in recessed luminaires, since low maintenance frequency in a comparatively hard-to-reach fitting is a direct operational advantage.
